Amethyst Loscocco is a writer, editor, binge reader, and science nerd. She studied Molecular and Cell Biology at UC Berkeley and completed a post-baccalaureate writing program with honors at the UC Berkeley Extension. She is earning a Master’s in Science Writing at Johns Hopkins University.
As a science writer and editor, Amethyst has covered various topics, including soil biology, climate science, public health, mental health, and more. She is highly skilled in transforming complex science and technical concepts into engaging, accurate, and informative content for diverse audiences. She is obsessed with clarity, grammar, and high editorial standards.
As a speculative fiction writer, she writes short stories that often involve magic, mystery, and the occasional ghost.
She lives in Oakland, California, with her husband and two dancing German Shepherds.
